Wesley was well tucked in on seventh spot at one point in the unofficial live rankings about a month ago. He sort of like swapped places with Li Chao after the conclusion of the 3rd PGMA Cup. Li had to hop on the next flight back home just before the start of the China-Russia match. He won his first round assignment against world #28 Alekseev.
It would seem inevitable that we shall be looking at an all-2600 Top Junior List in the not so distant future.
Update:
Minor changes in the lower half of the list as FIDE excluded the results of the Euro Continental Championship.

actually its fide regulations that stated the final match should not be held in one of the home countries of each of the players.
This still holds true in the men’s championship because the final is decided by a match.
E.g. the topalov kamsky can’t be held in Bulgaria or USA
E.g. the kramnik anand match can’t be heldin india or russia.
But with the change in the women’s format to a knockout tournament it’s much harder to apply.

Hou Yifan is a rising chess star. Her rating does not reflect her true strength and yet she is already rated much higher than Kosteniuk.
The best example i can give of hometown advantage is the Olympics in China and even the last SEA games in the Philippines.
